Mobile shopping in the U.S. is expected to be bigger than ever this holiday season. We told you about how brands need to rethink Black Friday this year, and that young consumers’ plans to holiday shopping online will likely lead to a major spike in holiday ecommerce sales. According to a report from App Annie, mobile shopping apps are projected to see “their biggest shopping season to date.” The firm is estimating that U.S. consumers will spend more than a whopping 1 billion hours on Android devices during the fourth quarter—a 50% increase from the same period last year. They’re also predicting “the pace of online shopping” will look different, expecting it to be “longer and more drawn out.” (TechCrunch)
