While some fashion retailers are struggling, this direct-to-consumer athleisure brand is seeing a massive spike in sales. As athleisure and loungewear continue to be popular, Vuori is one of the brands in particular to score big during the pandemic. According to the company, they were already gaining interest from customers pre-pandemic and are currently “on track” to grow 180% year-over-year. The company attributes their overall popularity to their “digital presence,” which pivoted marketing and messaging to be more authentic to reach young people during this difficult time. They’ve also credited online growth to their product assortment, which includes “increasingly relevant” clothing like sweatpants and loungewear. Before COVID, they planned for half of sales to be generated online—instead, 70% of the brand’s business has come from ecommerce operations. (Adweek)
