Millennials present the “biggest ecommerce opportunity” for this upcoming holiday season. YPulse’s Retail’s New Reality report found that the majority of 13-39-year-olds have been shopping online more than they had in the past, and over half won’t be comfortable shopping in-stores this holiday season. And according to a Braze report, Millennials are “more committed” to online shopping in the future than other generations, while younger shoppers are more likely than older to say that they’ll be spending more this holiday. They also found 51% of Millennials say they will be making almost all or most of their holiday purchases at small local businesses, upping the stakes for big brands who will need to “retool” their customer engagement strategies to give young customers relevant reasons to shop with them.
