Young consumers prefer using smartphones to do their back to school shopping. We told you what supplies students plan on buying for this upcoming school year—and according to an AdColony study, they’re using their smartphones to do most of their shopping. The report found that more than half (59%) of consumers in the U.S. plan to use their smartphones for back to school shopping this year, making mobile devices more popular than computers (26%) and tablets (15%). Fifty-five percent of shoppers said they have bought something directly on a mobile device after seeing an ad, while 76% say they would buy something if the ad were relevant to their needs.
