During the pandemic, bouncy houses have been “saviors” for Millennial parents. Parents have been looking for new ways to keep their kids entertained during the summer of COVID and with more time spent outdoors, inflatable bouncy houses are the latest toy trend. According to NPD, sales for playhouses and bouncy houses were up 126% in April compared to last year, and from March to June, they raked in $53 million. The Little Tikes Jump ‘n Slide inflatable bounce house has been a “nationwide top seller” on Amazon. And other brands like HeroKiddo, Blast Zone, and Bounceland, (who sold more than 12,000 bounce houses between March and June, up 350% from last year), are seeing a significant surge in sales. While some parents say that buying a bouncy house was initially a “stress purchase,” it’s become a “savior” during the pandemic. (Vanity Fair)
