Gen Z and Millennials are relying on social media for medical advice.

Jul 16 2020

Gen Z and Millennials are relying on social media for medical advice. According to Healthline.com, more than half of Gen Z (52%) and Millennials (62%) are going to social media first for their health information compared to 44% of Gen X—a situation “made necessary” partly due to quarantines. Seventy-six percent of Gen Z and 57% of Millennials hold health influencers in “high esteem,” and as young consumers look to their social apps for medical info, a number of doctors, therapists, and other professions have been jumping on TikTok to combat misinformation.
