COVID has changed group fitness forever. With social distancing measures still in place, fitness brands like Barry’s Bootcamp and SoulCycle have made all their classes virtual, even selling and delivering their bikes and workout equipment to customers at home to stay afloat. Because gyms are “germy” and harder to maintain social distancing in, they potentially have to adopt extreme changes that include limited capacity and health protocols, like making members wear face masks or putting barriers between equipment.
