Millennials are leading the way in drunk shopping, a billion dollar habit.

Millennials are leading the way in drunk shopping, a billion dollar habit. According to a survey by Finder, consumers in the U.S. spent $44.9 billion on drunk purchases in the last year—down from last year’s $45.3 billion—with food being the most common purchase, followed by clothing, shoes, and accessories. Nearly a quarter of Americans admit to drunk shopping, and Finder reports that Millennials are the generation most prone to intoxicated purchasing at 42%, compared to 22% of Xers and 10% of Boomers. It could be that being under the influence speeds up their decision to treat themselves to something new. (Chain Store Age)
