Young consumers are going to karaoke clubs in other people’s living rooms.

Mar 09 2020

Young consumers are going to karaoke clubs in other people’s living rooms. Young people have been choosing to stay in, and YPulse’s nightlife and drinking survey found that 67% of 19-to-37-year-olds would prefer to drink at home than at a bar or club. Now they’re transforming homes and apartments into their own personal hotspots. Some have jumped on the D.I.Y. entertainment trend of turning their living spaces into venues for plays, dinner parties, and cocktail clubs. Brooklyn-based Lion’s Roar Karaoke House hosts parties of up to 30 singers in a living room, making over six figures in 2019 thanks to their popularity among 20-to-30-year-olds. (NYTimes)
