Millennials are more likely to buy food and drinks with sustainable packaging than older consumers. While Boomers feel positively toward recycling, according to a EcoFocus Trends Survey, 64% of Millennials think “it is worth paying more for eco-friendly products,” compared to just 38% of older consumers. The younger gen was also more likely to feel positively towards companies that use packaging that is recyclable or made with recycled or renewable materials. Over half say that they try to buy packaging made out of plant-based materials—another trend young people are leading. (Food Dive)
