Dec 27 2019

Rates for cosmetic surgery are skyrocketing among young adults. According to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 18-to-34-year-olds are having more plastic surgery than 51-to-64-year-olds, and there has been a 24% increase in registrations at medical aesthetics clinics for those under 30-years-olds since 2013. The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery reports that 55% of patients show surgeons a retouched selfie instead of a celebrity picture, showing that social media filters might be impacting their desire to for plastic surgery.
