Nintendo has a new way to gamify exercise. The recently announced Ring Fit Adventure, which can also be played on Switch, lets players chase a “swole” dragon who is infecting the world. They navigate the game via a leg strap and large ring, the Ring-Con, which can be bent and pulled to complete movements—and turns the whole thing into a “full body workout.” Gaming is a major part of young consumers’ lives, and as they prioritize health and wellness, we could see more efforts to merge the two.
