Tamagochi, Furby, and Hello Kitty are coming back to Happy Meals as McDonald’s plays to Millennial parents’ nostalgia. In honor of the Happy Meal’s 40th anniversary, and in a move to combat falling store visits, the fast food chain is bringing back 17 of its most popular toys from the ‘90s for a limited run. YPulse data shows that many Millennial parents are nostalgic for the things they had as a child and want their own children to experience them as well. The brand is expecting “very, very high levels” of demand for the toys, despite current focus on reducing plastic toy waste among competitors. (AdAge)
