Popular gaming chat platform Discord is axing their video game subscription service. Nitro is Discord’s premium tier, which offers advanced features for super users along with the gaming library. Why are they, in their own words, not “hitting continue” on the content library part? Apparently, “the vast majority of Nitro subscribers didn’t play them.” Discord users’ lack of interest in the subscription could spell trouble for all the other companies currently racing to become young gamers’ Netflix for video games.
