The teacher had all her students turn up their volume and marked down every time a “ping” rang out to create “a collective record” of their communication that she posted to Twitter—to the tune of over 12,000 likes. One user created a bar chart based on the teacher’s tallies, showing the students received over 400 texts, 250 Instagram notifications, and 100s of other distractions. (Business Insider)
