Stitch Fix’s Tinder-style in-app game is played by more than 75% of their shoppers. A game that lets users swipe right and left on apparel is just one of the high-tech ways the clothing subscription service relies on data science to put together boxes (called Fixes) of clothing that are tailored to users’ tastes. This data along with other user-provided info allows the app to send “A client who’s 60 years old, who lives outside of Minneapolis…a totally different Fix than a client who is 24 years old and lives in Manhattan.” (Fast Company)
