Teens aren’t using Facebook as much, but the platform is still a part of their lives. Just over half of U.S. teens use Facebook today, compared to 94% in 2012, with one high-schooler calling it “an ‘old person’ social media.” But they've been “overexposed from birth” thanks to parents posting their pictures on the platform, and they “can't escape it.” Many teens monitor their parents' Facebook activity to avoid embarrassment, and even have a say in what gets posted.
