U.K. army applications reached a five-year high following their Millennial-focused ad campaign. The controversial ads inverted Millennial stereotypes, with phrases like “Snowflakes / your Army needs you and your compassion.” Despite online controversy over the ads, applications “nearly doubled” from December of last year to the first three weeks of January, jumping from 5,000 to 9,700—which is good news for an organization struggling to reel in enough young recruits.
