Snapchat thinks “YKTV” will be a top teen slang term in 2019. The platform looked at the last months of 2018 to predict what trends will define 2019. They expect “YKTV” (short for “you know the vibes”) to enter teens’ vernacular, along with “born day” (aka birthday) and the phrase “on a date, kinda nervous” (used ironically). In gaming, they’re guessing that Minecraft, Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Red Dead Redemption will continue to make cultural waves. Oh, and they think bob haircuts will stage a comeback. (Fast Company)
