More advertisers are betting on digital video to reach young viewers. EMarketer predicts that digital video ad spend will surge 30% this year, with YouTube’s growing 17% to a $3.36 billion total and Facebook/Instagram raking in more than double that at $6.8 billion. Snapchat makes up a much smaller amount of the $27.8 billion digital video ad industry but is expected to surge by 19%, while Twitter jumps 12%. Analysts also expect that Facebook Watch will become a bigger player as live viewing takes up more of Gen Z & Millennials’ media consumption time. (Tubefilter)
