Whisperlodge is bringing ASMR experiences to real life. Participants are blindfolded and brought into an apartment with themed rooms where they could, for example, have a makeup brush rubbed on their face. It’s all meant to induce that “oddly satisfying” feeling some get from watching YouTubers make slime or even eat ice. Whisperlodge launched last year and has had about 250 people so far pay $70 per 90-minute session. (MarketWatch, BuzzFeed News)
