“Mysterious retailers” are scamming hapless Instagrammers via sponsored posts—because nothing is ever really free. Folsom & Co. used to offer low-cost watches that never made it to their buyers’ wrists, and now they’re offering “free” bikinis. Just paying for shipping and handling seems like a sweet deal, but 84 customer complaints to the Attorney General have been filed about the missing or low-quality bikinis. Folsom & Co. isn’t the only brand to dupe people with a good post, so users should slow their scrolls before adding anything to their carts. (Racked)
