Fitbit just launched their first tracker for kids—and their stock skyrocketed in turn. The Fitbit Ace is now available for children eight-and-up and includes similar functions to its adult counterpart. Others have come out with kids’ wearables (they were a hit at the KAPi Awards) but Fitbit wants “to reinvigorate the tracker category” by focusing more on activity than diet, excluding calorie counts and body mass indexes. The company's stock jumped 15% on Monday, for a total uptick of 28% for 2018. (The Verge, CNBC)
