Unsurprisingly, Millennials are behind other generations when it comes to saving for retirement. Thanks to entering the labor market in a recession, and, of course, their student loan debt, they’re “behind in almost every economic dimension.” The ratio of how much they have invested in assets like 401(k) plans to their income is below Gen X and Boomers and is projected to remain that way. The solution? Working until they’re at least 70, which will allow their Social Security payout to increase and (if companies can get them to start investing) their assets to grow. (The Agenda)
