Gen Z is growing up to be the next generation of foodies. FarmRich’s recent research found that 13-19-year-olds don’t just spend a lot of time thinking about and eating food but also consuming culinary digital content. Forty-six percent get inspired to cook by watching food-related shows, and Facebook tops the list of their go-to digital outlets for recipe inspiration, followed by YouTube. Some of those recipes may be vegetarian, as that’s one of the top diet trends they want to try, along with low-carb, and low-fat. (NYP)
