Meme Day at modern high schools is a sign of the times. High schools across the country are changing up the traditional spirit week with a new dress-up day. Wearing a college sweatshirt is out; dressing up as a meme or Vine is in. The new show of spirit was “near incomprehensible half a decade ago,” and a sign that younger generations have “create[d] a shared culture” online through new ways of communicating.
