Millennial parents are picking vowel-heavy names for their children—as long as it’s not “Alexa.” The latest list from the Social Security Administration reveals that half of the letters in nine of the top ten most-popular girls’ names of 2017 (and four from the boys’ list) are vowels. Liam and Emma top the two lists, but one name is nowhere to be found—“Alexa.” The name’s popularity has dropped dramatically since Amazon released their smart speaker device.
