One Chinese college is offering a three-year curriculum on esports. The series of courses isn’t just preparing students to be professional gamers (only the top students pursue that path), but also for accessory careers to competitive gaming ranging from coaching to organizing events. Esports has levelled up in recent years to become a lucrative industry: In China, NewZoo estimates esports revenues will reach $264 million for 2018.
