Logan and Jake Paul are the teen-beloved social media sensations you may have never heard of—until this week when Logan landed in hot water for posting a video showing footage of a suicide victim. The online celebrities have been favorites among Gen Z since their rise to fame on the now-defunct Vine. They’ve “creat[ed] this cult around each of their personalities,” but Logan’s “suicide forest” video has him on the outs for the moment. However, some say YouTube shares some of the blame for the controversial content. A screenshot shows they manually reviewed and approved the video—which went on to reach over six million viewers—without placing an age restriction on it. (BBC, TechCrunch)
