Musical.ly is helping its teen stars go to college, setting aside a fund for their tuitions. While some influencers on the teen and tween favorite app have pulled an income to get themselves through college, Musical.ly wants to make sure deserving creators are taken care of too. The company put $50 million into the Creator Fund, and having the most followers won’t be their top consideration for scholarship decisions. In fact, academic merit will matter more. (tubefilter)
