Beauty brands big and small are going genderless for The Genreless Generation, thanks to social media. CoverGirl and Maybelline have been choosing males to model their makeup, MAC debuted a genderless makeup line championed by Caitlyn Jenner, and Milk Makeup’s “Blur the Line” makeup line took on the trend head on. Where does social media come in? “Platforms like Instagram have broken many of the stereotypes around gender,” said one trend researcher, “There’s a diversity of people out there sharing their beauty looks and investigating and experimenting with their individuality.” (Glossy)
