Do kids still believe in Santa Claus? Apparently, the answer is yes: 85% of four-year-olds, 65% of six-year-olds, and 25% of eight-year-olds believe in Santa, according to a study by the Journal of American Orthopsychiatry. One professor explained that children’s belief is “very strong when they're between about 4 and 8,” and then “at 8 years old is when we start to see the drop-off…” Not only have the percentages not changed much over the years, but kids in Europe also have roughly the same rates as U.S. children.
