“Youthquake” is Oxford English Dictionaries’ word of 2017—even though no one’s heard of it. Apparently, the word means “a significant cultural, political, or social change arising from the actions or influence of young people.” The OED found that the term saw a spike in usage in the U.K. this year, though they admit the term didn’t make its way across the pond.
