Millennials love Rick and Mortyand now we know they also love the products the show promotes—maybe too much. McDonald’s announced they would be bringing back Szechuan sauce, which starred in a joke on the show, for one day—but the promotion didn’t go as planned. The “super-limited” release stirred up angry crowds, as select stores received a meager ration of packets to appease the next-level fandom lining up outside. The “best fans in the multiverse” voiced their frustration on Twitter and IRL, where police were called in some cases. McDonald’s has apologized and announced plans to bring back (much, much more of) the sauce. (BuzzFeed, Vulture)
