The next official Snapchat filter will be designed by a teen. The #MyFutureMe contest from Google and Snap is asking young competitors to bring their most creative coding skills to the table to make a geofilter paired with a short paragraph about the “future [they] envision.” Five finalists will go to the TEDWomen conference in New Orleans to bring their lenses to life, with help from engineers. They will then be judged by Snap’s CEO himself, and the winning filter will show up in Snap’s library for all to swipe. (The Verge)
