Millennials expect companies to stand up for the causes they’re passionate about. A study from Harris Poll and Eventbrite shows that three-quarters of 18-34-year-olds expect their employer “to take a stand on social issues,” and the same percentage expect them to make an impact by donating or volunteering. Glassdoor explains, “Today’s informed candidates want to work for companies that are actively engaged on topics that directly impact their lives and align with their beliefs.” Sounds like diverting the funding for the puppies and ball pits to important causes may be a better bet.
