Disney retail is getting a digital reboot, both online and in-store. The brand recently launched shopDisney.com, a new “e-commerce destination,” and they’re stepping up their in-store experience with digital and experiential elements. The tech makeover starts in select stores with a more modern aesthetic, products that are less “child-centric” for all-ages appeal, and LED screens that will livestream fireworks displays and parades from their parks. Some changes also cater to customization-loving young consumers: the site will feature “create your own” products, and stores will have “personalized celebrations for any guest.” (Kidscreen)
