Trojan sales are down, and “distracted” Millennials are getting the blame. One analyst estimates that sales of the condom brand could be down 3.4% for August, following a 3.3% drop in July. Macquarie Research doesn’t shy away from pointing their finger at kids and their darn technology these days, claiming: “young people [17-25-years-old] are having less sex because they are distracted by their mobile phones.” They even say that Trojan’s digital advertising needs “to try and get young people off their phones and using Trojan condoms.” (But there are actually lots of other reasons that Millennials might be having less sex.)
