Facebook Watch is tackling sports by bringing in Bleacher Report and Marshawn Lynch. The 10-episode live-action series will follow the Oakland Raiders’ player as he does activities like “riding military tanks,” “testing virtual reality,” and “taking racecar driving lessons.” The reality show is titled No Script, and Lynch is known for his appeal to “Bleacher Report’s younger, mostly male audience.” Facebook is reportedly planning to spend as much as $1 billion on original content to compete in the streaming wars and are “pay[ing] millions” for this sports show and its star.
