Generational slang can be a language barrier, especially for Boomers. A study by Great Senior Living put together the most popular terms for each generation, and then looked into whether other generations knew what they mean. Boomers were the least likely to “get” it. Only 8% knew that “lit” means something “was really awesome,” but a full 87% knew “bae” means “before anyone else” and 43% somehow knew that “THOT” means…well, you can look that one up for yourself.
