As teens grow up and get jobs, they’re listening to the radio more. In Spring 2011, Nielson data revealed that 12-17-year-olds listened to the radio for an average of 9 hours and 15 minutes each week. In Spring 2017, the group is now 18-24-years-old and listens for 10 hours and 15 minutes. Though there are many mediums to listen to music these days, Ypulse found that regular radio wins out as the top source for Millennials and teens’ daily streaming. (Inside Radio, Radio Ink)
