Wendy’s is embarking on an 12-stop campus tailgate tour to reach college students. The brand will be pulling up to college tailgates to hand out free grub in an 18-wheeler, with a lounge, patio, “roof-top party deck,” and 14-foot video board displaying live college football and sponsored content. Wendy’s is also ramping up the Experiencification factor with tastings and VR demos by Coca-Cola, virtual and IRL face painting from Nissan, an “interactive flavor [Pringles] stacking experience” from Kellogg’s, and a gaming lounge from TCL.
