Esports are winning with Millennials—and Nielsen wants to “cash in” with their new products and services. Nielsen Esports will offer research specific to “the rapidly growing sector” as well as consulting services for interested companies. Their new products will evaluate sponsorships, analyze audiences, and more, with support from their experienced advisory board—featuring experts from FIFA, Facebook, Twitch, and Twitter. According to Nielsen Entertainment’s president, “There’s a high demand for reliable, independent measurement of value in esports.” (Variety)
