The Consumer Technology Association expects sales of the old school tech to jump 7% in 2017 because people are realizing public networks are, well, public—meaning free. Broadcast TV never went away, and local networks like CBS, FOX, NBC, and more can be transmitted to even the most modern flat screen—with the help of some “rabbit ears.” Some are “surprised that this is technology that exists,” and question if it’s “actually some modern satellite service or something.” (WSJ)
