Most kids’ apps aren’t doing enough to protect user data, with over half of the most popular off Google Play failing to fully comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. The main violation they’re guilty of? Sending sensitive data to third party advertisers. Developers may not be purposely pressing The Privacy Issue, though, instead accidentally adding snippets of code without thoroughly checking their terms and practices. (Washington Post)
