Amazon’s smartphone storytime app Rapids is now incorporating TV characters and celebrity voices. Rapids uses a chat fiction narrative popular among teens, where the story plot plays out via interactive mobile messaging. The app can tell hundreds of original stories, ranging from adventure and animals to science fiction, though chat-based dialogue and custom illustrations. Now, the stories will include characters from Amazon Studio’s kids’ shows, like Danger & Eggs—so Prime viewers will have a new way to experience their favorites. (TechCrunch)
