Prime Day just broke records by becoming Amazon’s biggest sales day ever. The self-promotional holiday not only surpassed sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but also skyrocketed 60% over Prime Day 2016. Not only did the brand bring in revenue, but they drove signups with more members joining than “on any single day in Amazon history.” Considering Prime is already more popular than cable for Millennials, it seems Amazon is well on its way to “tak[ing] over the world.” (CNBC)
