Hillflint is a startup on a mission to make college gear far more stylish. Unimpressed by the “basic” sweatshirts found in campus bookstores, the Millennial founders are looking to re-think ironed-on logos and shift the “utter sameness” of college attire by bringing fresh new threads to fans. The re-imagined merch is on the higher end, with sweaters ranging from $85 to $120, but Hillflint thinks there are plenty of willing customers in the $3.88 billion collegiate sports licensing industry—and with 3,000 colleges across the U.S., there’s plenty of room to expand.
