Millennial parents are creating a baby food boom, and a new startup is ready to innovate in the space.

Jun 14 2017

Millennial parents are creating a baby food boom, and a new startup is ready to innovate in the space. The industry grew from $36.7 to $55 billion between 2010-2015, even while traditional baby food sales declined, thanks in part to new parents’ demand for all natural alternatives to grocery store standbys. Yumi is offering weekly deliveries of organic baby food, targeting Millennial parents, who they say are looking for ingredient transparency. They’re not the first to offer subscription services for baby food, but are hoping to beat out competitors (like Little Spoon and Raised Real) with hard-to-come-by (and uber trendy) ingredients like rose water.
