Robots could be a major source of competition for Millennials’ jobs. A study shows that about 50% of Millennials are interested in jobs that carry high risks of automation in the future. While previous generations have higher interest in “routine manual” jobs such as working on an assembly line, Millennials are displaying high interest in “routine cognitive” jobs, such as roles in sales and administration. Any job requiring routine, no matter how complex, carries a high risk of automation—in fact, studies show 38% of all jobs might be automated by 2030. (The Washington Post)
